KEIO PLAZA HOTEL TOKYO

With its clusters of skyscrapers, vibrant nightlife districts, and the beautiful Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, Shinjuku offers something to attract visitors at every turn. The KEIO PLAZA HOTEL TOKYO first opened its doors in 1971, at a time when Shinjuku had no skyscrapers. As Japan’s first-ever super high-rise hotel, it set a new standard for the country’s hospitality industry. Ever since, it has evolved with the times and social trends: an innovative legacy that continues today.

Between its Main and South Towers, the hotel offers a total of 1,453 guest rooms, with the Premier Grand Rooms (King, Twin, or Two Queens) and the Premier Grand Suites (King or Twin), located on the 35th to 41st floors of the Main Tower, as the most luxurious options. All Premier Grand rooms were designed by the British firm G.A. Design International to offer refined interiors and stunning views from the building’s upper floors, promising true comfort and luxury throughout your stay.

In addition, the 45th floor—160 meters above ground—features the Club Lounge. This is one of the largest hotel lounges in Tokyo, and Premier Grand guests have exclusive access. Here, you can enjoy tea time (2:30–4:30 p.m.), bar time (5:30–7:30 p.m.), and breakfast (7:00–10:00 a.m. or until 11:00 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays), with drinks, sweets, and light meals provided. A concierge is always on hand at the Club Lounge to help you in any way you need to ensure that you have a first-class stay in Tokyo, from helping you plan your sightseeing itinerary and securing restaurant reservations, to arranging special touches for memorable occasions with loved ones.

The hotel offers a variety of dining options, including Japanese, Western, and Chinese cuisine, as well as a number of bars and lounges. There is something for everyone. On the 47th and top-most floor of the Main Tower, you will find SKY PLAZA IBASHO, which provides a panoramic view of Shinjuku. This space is divided into six zones, each displaying examples of in-house art, Edo Daruma dolls, beckoning cat figurines, and other traditional crafts made using Nishijin-ori fabric. It also hosts seasonal events like a Doll Festival, along with a variety of other exhibits and events aimed at sharing the richness of Japanese culture with guests from around the world, such as opportunities to try on kimono, displays of special long-sleeved kimono, and Shinjuku dyeing workshops. Please check the hotel website for information on displays and events.

The hotel is within walking distance of a number of attractions, such as Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, Shinjuku Central Park, Hanazono Shrine, the bar-hopping districts of Omoide Yokocho and Shinjuku Golden Gai, as well as Tokyu Kabukicho Tower, Kabukicho, and Hanamichi Tokyo Kabukicho.

KEIO PLAZA HOTEL TOKYO provides both convenience and unbeatable access to Shinjuku attractions.
